A weird dream

Last night was the first night in a long, long time that I had a flat-out eyebrow-raising dream, and I'm so happy and amused! :D So to celebrate this honourable occurence, I shall narrate to you the dream!

I met Neusha, Gloria, Alisa and Yao to celebrate Neusha's birthday (which is today - Happy birthday, Neusha!). They had all bought silly costumes for just $8.90 and thought of wearing them to Neusha's birthday celebration. Being the typical me, I fell in love with the silly costumes straightaway and decided to get one for myself too (I was reluctant though, somehow I was thinking that $8.90 was expensive for a costume!). Then we went to a nearby foodcourt to eat and proceeded to NTUC after that. I met Hui Jie at NTUC doing some grocery shopping! So I went "What are you doing here?" and it was like some kind of cue cause after I said that, my whole cell started to appear behind her back. Woah. Turns out they were meeting up to make...RIBENA! That was such a what-the-hell moment. So anyway, we headed to Yao's house later to put on our costumes but somehow, it turned out that we had prom at night! So we were putting on our ridiculous costumes and bringing our dresses and heels along. Meanwhile, my cell -and Hui Jie- were waiting for the bus at the bustop opposite Yao's house and when they saw us coming out of her house with those silly costumes on, they laughed (cause there was prom later at night right? So they thought we were wearing the costumes to prom lor). I said something about dressing up to be the prettiest at prom to have the last laugh...and I woke up. Thank goodness.

I guess the dream was a collection of all that has been happening:
  1. Silly costumes
  2. They look like the keychains I want to get from some shop at Raffles City.

  3. $8.90
  4. The price of the notebook I want to get from Artbox.

  5. My cell
  6. The recent cell outing?

  7. Making ribena
  8. Erm, making cheese mousse? hahaha

  9. Prom
  10. Prom is, well, prom. Duh.

  11. Neusha's birthday
  12. Today! :D

AND GUESS WHO'S BIRTHDAY IS COMING UP NEXT! :D

Promotion Night 2008

PROM. WAS. AWESOME!!!

Seriously, totally, awesome! Except to the end when my toes started dying because my heels were killing them off. The activities weren't much fun, and neither was the food great, but what made it truly awesome was the company, camwhoring, dancing, camwhoring, getting a shock of your life when you see all your friends looking pretty, camwhoring, laughing at your friend (Janice) pulling up her dress cause it's tube', camwhoring...you get the idea. hahaha.

Thankfully they didn't have any activities that would make us tear okay! Yao's (very nice :D) auntie helped me apply A LOT of mascara which I'm not sure if it's waterproof or not. I can't imagine if I actually cried. I would have turned from ugly duckling (read previous post) to drop-dead hideous ogre. o_o|||

Last night really proved to me that there are no such thing as ugly females, only lazy ones. Of course it's also applicable to males la, since cosmetics are available for both genders, but guys can look good with hair and scars and whatever else that we females can never look good with. Hmph!

Artistic! :D

Bollywood, baby! hahaha

Yao is being bullied. Na na nee poo poo!

I have big eyes and white teeth yeah! HAHAHA.

Ugly Shot Take One: FAILED
(I was too pretty XP)

Ugly Shot Take Two
(I'm still lookin' pretty...HAHA)

Chocolatessss! Too nice to even be eaten by a chocoholic like me. (who am I kidding, I just ate it just now XD)

First time I have to bend down! hahaha. I look like I have a huge tummy here, eeyer.

I won a pair of speakers in the lucky draw! 22nd prize out of dunno how many leh! Quite good, quite good. And also presenting my mummy, a thousand times more valuable than a pair of speakers. :D

Li Yin, here's proof that you DON'T have flabby arms!

And for comparison's sake...I present to all of you:

p.s. I really liked my hairstyle! The hairstylist really rocks. :D (yes, I decided to go and style my hair after all since Yao, Alisa and Janice were all styling their hair too, which means I did not "put the damn hair gel on my damn hair with my own damn hands", as was predicted in the previous post. XD)

Wowwee, what a bummer!

So the big Os are coming to an end in about 3 days time, but somehow I don't feel the least bit excited. To tell you the truth, I'm more excited to watch the 9pm show tonight (yes, in the midst of the Os) than the start of 2 and a half months of total freedom. During the two weeks of study break, it was all I could think, dream and talk about but I guess it was too much, thus an excitement backflow occurred, and I didn't have valves like those in my veins to prevent the backflow...so, yeah.

ANYHOO, here's what's been happening.

I swear, it was too tempting! Hui Jie was winning by a mile, so I was pretty darn desperate to catch up! =P

...more of "Horror movie of the year"! HAHA. It's Hui Jie, btw, who has kindly volunteered to be the model because no one else can be as scary-looking as her. :D

Juuuust kidiiiiing!~

The skies at Hui Jie's house are very, very pwetty! Partly thanks to my no-less-than-perfect photography skills. :D HAHAHA.

Please excuse my UTTERLY RETARDED behaviour of yours truly in the above video. Even I cannot forgive myself...so why am I posting this video up again? Hahaha.

And yes, I am happy that Obama won.

On a side note, prom is in 4 days time! Listening to how everyone's preparing for prom, I'm starting to freak out somehow. Almost everyone bought hundred-dollar dresses and even went shopping for accessories and so many people are gonna style their freaking hairs man! What the hell! I'm wearing my mum's dress and heels, carrying my mum's clutch, putting on Li Yin's nail polish and putting the damn hair gel on my damn hair with my own damn hands!! I swear, I'll be the only one there that night who didn't spend a single dime on prom (except the ticket) and not to mention, the ugly duckling among the crowd of beautiful ducklings...

Wait, but the ugly duckling grew up to be a beautiful swan...hmm.

Either way, here's a joke to end off on a high note! I don't really get the words "cooksaheb" and "Madhar Chod" but you'll still get the joke. (wink)

Two Jewish men, Sid and Al, were sitting in a Indian restaurant in New York . Sid asked Al, 'Are there any Jewish people of our faith born and raised in India ?'

Al replied, 'I don't know, let's just ask our waiter.'

When the waiter came by, Al asked him, 'Are there any Indian Jews?'

The waiter said, 'I don't by knowing, I ask cooksaheb.' He returned from the kitchen in a few minutes and said, 'No sir, no Indian Jews.'

Al wasn't really satisfied with that and asked, 'Are you absolutely sure?'

The waiter, realizing he was dealing with 'foreigners' gave the expected answer, 'I check again,' and went back into the kitchen.

While the waiter was away in the kitchen, Sid said, 'I find it hard to believe that there are no Jews in India . Our people are scattered everywhere.'

The waiter returned and said, 'Cooksaheb say there is no Indian Jews.'

'Are you certain?' Al asked once again, 'I just can't believe there are no Indian Jews!'

'Madhar Chod ! Listen, I asked EVERYONE,' replied the frustrated waiter. 'All we have is Mango Jews, Coconut Jews & Tomato Jews! - No Indian Jews !!! '

This made my day.

Shinn and Mayu,

Sitting in a tree!

K-I-S-S-I-N-G!

Shinn: (horrified) You sick, sick bastards! That’s incest!

Rau: (muttering) Not to mention necrophilia…

The necrophilia part made me laugh so hard. XD

If you didn't watch Gundam Seed Destiny, don't bother trying to get the joke.

Teachers' Day 2008

Teachers' Day celebration today was utterly horrible. We had Aces Day workout which consisted of us standing on the parade ground being bored to death. That was followed by some decent performances by students and 3 very, very pathetic emcees that made me feel embarrassed for them. So survival instincts kicked in and we, being the bored, tortured souls in the scorching hot school hall, began to entertain ourselves with our own activities.

"Happy Teachers' Day. p.s. dun book me"

It's a long story why the words on my hands are all jumbled up. Don't ask.

We gave MrP his card after that and subjected my organs to much disgrace. And I drew him a smooth brain! HAHAHA! I kept telling Hui Jie and Li Yin that we have to draw the line-y things but noooo, they kept insisting that it's perfectly fine. Of course, the 3 of us forgot that a smooth brain meant a stupid one! Muahahaha.

Our masterpiece! I'm not being egoistic here, fyi. I didn't make the cover, so I'm free to praise it effusively. :D

The organs I drew. The heart everyone can regconise, the kidney some thought it was a mushroom, and the brain, only Sherlyn could figure out (which proves the point that her brain works differently from the rest of us). Also, note the smoooooth brain. gahaha.

Randomness. Yours truly has proven that Yakult is denser than water. :D

Headed to Parkway for lunch and window shopping later. Gramophone was such a disappointment. I think HMV is still the best music store in Singapore. :D And ghost stories nowadays have degenerated a lot. We were actually laughing when we read those short ghost stories collection books. (evil laughter) I remember not daring to enter a dark room every time I read those books in primary school - they were actually scary then. I think the ghosts stories we read at Borders today made kittens scary. PFFFT.

Chinese 'O' Level Results

Once upon a time, in a not so faraway land, I told Hui Jie:

I don't get why people cry over academics. I think I'll never cry over my results lah.

Another once upon a time, in yet another not so faraway land, I told Thanida:

If I get a C, I'll be satisfied. If I get a B, I'll be happy. If I get an A, I'll faint.

A few days ago, a prep talk to myself:

If I get an A1, I'm walking out of the hall praising God. If I get an F9, I'm walking out of the hall, still praising God. Because God has plans to prosper me, and He only gives the best.

Today, 1030 hours:

My heart was thumping so vigorously against my ribcage that I wouln't be surprised if I walked out of the hall with a few broken ribs. My voicebox was also insisting that I use it.

1045 hours:

I received my results. Reality hadn't really struck me then, and I signed the paper with a trembling hand.

1046 hours:

I walked over to sit by Gloria, Yao and Alisa. Managed a small smile at first, and then for some reason, started bursting into tears.

1050 hours:

Comforted and hugged by people. Was too caught up with my own emotions to feel infuriated at everyone else who were crying over their B3s.

1100 hours:

Headed to 4/6 because the people crying over their B3s were starting to piss me off. Comforted by Li Yin and Yi Jun.

1110 hours:

History lesson started. My mind was somewhere else, far away from 4/7 classroom. I had to gulp several mouthfuls of air to keep me from crying during the lesson. (somehow, during that period of time, all I felt like doing was cry)

1135 hours:

Read my mum's message, and almost started another cryfest.

1205 hours:

Dragged my feet to Chinese. Warned Sherlyn not to ask me anything before she did. The sadness was numbed a little after doing maths.

1300 hours:

Impulse to cry almost gone, however the sadness still lingered.

1330 hours:

Spaced out once in a while because I was bracing myself to face the music tonight (namely, my parents).

1430 hours:

Solo journey back home. Stuck very closely to upbeat songs because I didn't know if my current mood could take emotional songs without me bursting into tears right there and then on the bus. Was awed by the Olympics gymnastics performances - took my mind off Chinese for a while.

1600 hours:

Started mindless internet surfing to numb the sadness.

1800 hours:

I plan to Watch Zack and Cody to further numb this feeling.

I still haven't got the heart to bring myself to praise God. And thank you to everyone who comforted me. (:

So you want to know what grade I got?

Cross Country 2008

Our very last cross country.

Sarah got in second.
Suzanna got in third.
Joyce got in fifth.

4/7 got in first, for overall. :D
A thunderous standing ovation for us, because we're sec 4s, because that's when people like me start to cheer. ha. ha. ha.

Zany Green Parade's theme for us was: Futuristic Singapore.
Somehow, we ended up with food.

Your Evil Royal Muffinness!

The prata dance! :D

BeniTA the praTA disguising herself as a muffin to infiltrate the muffin base. muahahahaha!

Alas! Her plan backfired as her fellow prata henchmen mistook her for the enemy. ):

We didn't win anything for Zany though. Apparently, we were not zany enough. (Note the sarcasm.) But all's well, because we had loads of fun just being our silly selves (and camwhoring, gosh).

Went cycling with Alisa, Neusha, Thanida and LIM YA YA (don't you just love the name? :D) after Cross Country. It started out fantastic and ended as shitty as the shittiest day could be. We were still all smiles nonetheless. Wet weathers cannot dampen the TKGian spirit! :D

hahaha! Epitome of retardedness, we are.

The wet, wet weather. ):
We looked like 5 fat blobs on our bikes - utterly hilarious!

Nothing much here...except that I'm the tallest! XDD

Also, I will never listen to Fall For You by Secondhand Serenade ever again, all thanks to her:

School events like this are like blaring alarms signalling the impending arrival of our graduation. I can wait for graduation. I can wait to go to college, which many people have claimed are the shittiest years of a student's life in Singapore (then again, which year here as a student isn't shitty?). I can wait to leave my friends, my class and the fun(ny) things we do together. And I really wonder, why do people bother interacting with others and building strong relationships when it makes it so much harder to leave a place when need be? I guess like they say:

Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.

4/7, go! (:
